Happy New Month My Loves! π€
Among my goals this year is to just learn how to be a morning person… so I’m also happy that I’ve seen an improvement in my rising habits, and this, consequently, enables me to get more done.
My highlight for last month is this…. LEARNING TO BE A CEO. I happened to listen to an Instagram Live Session on Planning for 2022 by Susan Wanjiku, Wanjiku Socials and Diallo Gatabaki. What really stood out for me was something Susan Wanjiku said (at minute 45:45 of the live session), that so many people call themselves CEOs, but they don’t even know how to play the CEO Roles. She was basically explaining how people in business have to work backwards to achieve their income goals for their businesses,
If you’re reading this and you happen to know Susan, please thank her for me because… she shared some really deep insights that deeply challenged my thought process and helped me make better goals for my business last month.
Then something tragic just had to happen on the 30th of last month. Miss USA 2019…π©π
Anyone who knows me knows I’m a huge fan of Pageants, my favourites being Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA. The 3 are all under the Miss Universe Organisation, and I follow the pageant winners down to the tiniest details of their lives, just because I love to identify with their experiences, their advocacies, and what they really have to offer to the world.
So waking up yesterday morning to the tragic news of Miss USA 2019, Cheslie Kryst’s Death was so heartbreaking. I mean, Cheslie was the warmest, most jovial Miss USA. She was always so happy, so then… wondering why she had to commit suicide by jumping off a building to her death? I’m still in utter shock!π©
From her death, it was evident that beneath the facade, she was going through something… this very something led her to think suicide as the only option out.
In summary, from her death:
Today I write to remind you…. you’re alive, you’re healthy, you’re beautiful. You are so much more than your growing pains. Please don’t give up.π€
To anyone considering suicide, I hope you choose life. Being a person whose almost attempted suicide, I want to assure you that all will work out. I promise. Sending you love.β₯οΈ
